7th July 2005 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 16 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot surf Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 14ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 22.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 9.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Just a pleasant cruise with my 6.7m sail. When I first got there the wind had filled in quite a bit and I did contemplate going out with the 5.7m but plumped for the 6.7 in the end with lots of downhaul. I started off on my Mistral Heat experimenting to see how well it coped with the big sail The board handles it OK but the 23cm fin was a little too small making progress upwind difficult. I then changed to my Sputnik and had a good little cruise in the sunshine. Dunk was out kiting, but there was no one else around. |
